At Wylie East High School, our choir program is built on a powerful combination of excellence, belonging, and shared purpose. With over 500 students across twelve ensembles, we are proud to be one of the largest and most dynamic high school choral programs in Texas and in the country, and more importantly, a place where students find connection, growth, and meaning through music.

Our choirs are led by Dr. Nathan Dame, Mrs. Ashley Dame, Mr. Andrew Carr, and Ms. Elizabeth Harris, whose shared vision centers on developing both outstanding musicians and confident, collaborative people. While our students consistently earn top honors at UIL and perform on some of the most respected stages, including appearances at the Texas Music Educators Association Convention, Southwestern ACDA, and national conferences, our greatest success is the culture we build every day.

Everything we do is grounded in our four core values: We Over Me, Music Is for All, Be Passionate, and Music Is for Happiness. These words shape how we rehearse, perform, and support one another. We believe that when students are challenged, included, and inspired, they rise to a level far beyond what they thought possible.

Our program offers a wide range of ensembles designed to meet students where they are and help them grow. Whether singing in a varsity ensemble, developing skills in a concert choir, or performing in one of our contemporary groups, every student plays an important role in our community. Beyond the classroom, students collaborate with composers and guest artists, premiere new works, and travel together to experience music in meaningful and memorable ways.

From local performances to international tours, our singers represent Wylie East with pride, passion, and a commitment to something bigger than themselves. Together, they create performances that are not only excellent, but impactful, unified, and deeply human.
