Samuel Benavidez is in his third year as Associate Director of Choirs at Burnett Junior High. A native of Beeville, Texas, Mr. Benavidez earned his Bachelor's degree in Choral Music Education from the University of North Texas.

 

Mr. Benavidez is passionate about music and dedicated to sharing that passion with his students. He believes that music has the power to change lives and strives to create an environment where students can discover their own love for it. As a member of the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) and the Texas Choral Directors Association (TCDA), he is always looking for new ways to grow and inspire his students.

 

Beyond teaching, Mr. Benavidez sings with the Highland Park Chorale, keeping his performer roots alive. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, and experiencing the thrills of roller coasters, especially the ones at Universal Studios Orlando. His love for travel and exploration fuels his quest for new experiences and adventures.

 

Mr. Benavidez is excited to share his passion for music with the students of Burnett Junior High School. He is committed to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive and develop their love for music.
