Mrs. Ashley Dame is passionate about teaching from the heart and creating spaces where every student feels seen, valued, and inspired. At Wylie East High School, she serves as co-director of choirs, leading the Varsity Treble Choir, Bella Voce, and Select Treble Choir, while collaborating across all ensembles to build a unified and student-centered program.

Ashley’s work is rooted in connection, helping students grow in confidence, artistry, and purpose through music. Under her direction, ensembles have been featured at state and national conferences including TMEA, SWACDA, and the National ACDA Conference, reflecting both musical excellence and a commitment to meaningful performance.

 

She holds degrees from Mississippi College and Texas Woman’s University and is an active leader in the choral profession. A frequent presenter at conferences such as NAfME, TCDA, and ACDA, she is also in demand as a clinician-conductor, working with honor choirs across Texas and throughout the country. Her contributions to the field have been recognized through honors including the TCDA Innovative Programming Award, Teacher of the Year at Wylie East, and the TCDA Young Director of Distinction.

Beyond the classroom, Ashley is deeply committed to supporting singers and educators at every level. Her work includes published resources for developing male choristers through BriLee Music and accessible online content through her InspireChoir platform, designed to equip and encourage choral teachers everywhere.

Above all, Ashley believes in the power of music to bring people together and shape lives. She is dedicated to building a program where students not only achieve at a high level, but also experience joy, belonging, and a lasting love for music.
